Jay White Returns On AEW Dynamite Fifth Anniversary

Jay White Finally Returns

The fifth anniversary of AEW Dynamite featured a number of memorable moments, including the debut of Shelton Benjamin.

One moment that stood out at the event was the return of Jay White, who made his first appearance on AEW TV since July.

Dynamite featured Hangman Page vs. Juice Robinson and Page continued to attack Juice following Hangman’s win, choking him with a belt while Robinson was dangling over the top rope. Hangman was suddenly stopped when White’s music filled the arena in Pittsburgh and the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion brawled with Page, spearing him through a table to end the segment standing tall.

Jay White had been on the shelf with a foot injury since the July 6 edition of AEW Collision when he lost to Hangman Page in the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. The Bang Bang Gang were forced to vacate the AEW World Trios Titles and ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships in his absence.

Original pitches for Jay White’s return involved him being in the Casino Gauntlet at All In but those plans never came together. It emerged earlier this week that White’s return was imminent.
