TNA Legend Gail Kim Confirms Xia Li Has Signed With TNA

Some great news coming out of TNA as the female roster has a new member!

Gail Kim is delighted to announce that Xia Li has officially signed with TNA.

The former NXT star was release by WWE in April this year, after seven years with the company. She began working independent shows, before making her TNA debut last month under the name Lei Ying Lee.

The Chinese star beat Hyan on her debut, and looked good in her victory. She became the first Chinese woman to wrestle in TNA, and the future looks bright for the former WWE star.

This is because she has signed full-time for the promotion, as revealed by Gail Kim. She announced this in a virtual signing for K & S WrestleFest, where she revealed that Xia Li “exceeded her expections”. (H/T to Post Wrestling for the transcription).

The TNA Hall of Famer added that she was surprised when WWE let Xia Lia go. Because the company spoke so highly of her, she is excited to see what she does next in TNA.

Gail Kim on Xia Li

“Xia’s great. She’s with us… Yes, yep (Xia Li signed with TNA).” Gail Kim announced at the virtual signing for K & S WrestleFest. “I’m really excited for her. She’s such a hard worker. She’s so passionate and just experiencing that first match with TNA with us because that’s all she’s had so far, was just really nice, she actually exceeded my expectations.”

“I think a lot of people were surprised that she was let go (by WWE). That’s just kind of the conversations I’ve had and everyone, everyone I’ve talked to in WWE speaks so highly of her, from office to talent, everyone speaks highly of her. She can kick your ass. Because she’s doing an MMA thing, she’s doing wrestling. What a woman.”
