AEW WrestleDream 2024 Sees Increased Attendance, Signaling Continued Momentum

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) continues to show its resilience and appeal, as the 2024 WrestleDream pay-per-view has already exceeded last year’s attendance numbers. In 2023, WrestleDream drew 6,771 fans to the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. However, this year’s event, set at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington, has seen attendance climb to 7,628 as of this writing, reflecting an upward trend for the promotion.

This increase comes in the wake of concerns regarding lower attendance figures at some AEW events in recent months. Critics have voiced concerns about dwindling crowd sizes at certain shows, but WrestleDream’s performance stands as a testament to AEW’s enduring appeal. The promotion is still very much alive and thriving, evidenced not only by this uptick in attendance but also by the excitement surrounding recent business developments.

A significant factor bolstering AEW’s momentum is the recent announcement of a new television deal between Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and AEW. This partnership promises to further cement AEW’s place as a major player in professional wrestling, giving the company a stronger foothold in media and allowing for more visibility of its programming across multiple platforms.

Adding to the excitement is the stacked card for WrestleDream 2024. The main event will see Bryan Danielson challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship, in what promises to be an emotional and intense battle. Danielson has made it clear that this could be one of his last major matches, as he has stated that when he loses the AEW World Championship, he plans to retire from full-time wrestling. This high-stakes showdown has electrified fans and added an extra layer of anticipation to the PPV.

With a strong card and a packed arena, AEW WrestleDream 2024 is shaping up to be a memorable event that defies any recent doubts about the company’s future. The increased attendance is proof that AEW is not only surviving but thriving, riding the wave of positive momentum from their new TV deal and delivering high-quality wrestling for fans around the world.
