Trick Williams def. Ethan Page to win the NXT Championship
Trick Williams is officially a two-time NXT Champion after dethroning Ethan Page on the premiere episode of NXT on the CW Network.
CM Punk kept order as the Special Guest Referee and was determined to make sure someone won by pin or submission, even after Williams was hit by an Ego’s Edge through a table.
The champion became frustrated with Punk and mocked him by hitting a GTS, but Williams somehow kicked out.
Page attempted another Ego’s Edge, but Williams found a way out and hit a Trick Shot knee strike to make history by becoming a two-time NXT Champion.
